Synopsis:
The GEM Spainish Team consolidated data on Small and Medium Enterprises (5 or more years operating). The team studied the growth of the SME's in the last 2 years, and the expected growth for the next 5 years, principally in sales, employment and exports. The study determines the principal factors that procipitates growth, the quantity of "gaceles" in Spain, and compares the SME's that show growth with those that do not. They have created a special questionnarie for this study and have combined the date with the GEM 2005 data to tdiscuss the growth of the nascent SME's in Spain. The sample of SME's total about 1400.
