On the 17th June 2019, the GEM Austria team launched its latest report on the state of entrepreneurship in the country at the Federal Ministry in Vienna.
The event gathered key stakeholders of the Austrian entrepreneurial ecosystem and was broadcast live on the internet via different institutional and media channels.
This year's report has been re-designed and re-structured and includes an English-language Executive Summary for international readers.
According to Christian Friedl, leader of the Austrian GEM team: “The report exemplifies a dynamic development for Austria. The rate of early stage entrepreneurial activity is at a new high of 10.9% – this puts Austria in third place in Europe”.
Besides presenting and examining a range of positive developments, the report makes a series of recommendations to tackle identified areas for improvement.
The Austrian study is led by the Institute of International Management of FH JOANNEUM - University of Applied Sciences Graz.
