On 26 February 2026, the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor will launch its 2025/2026 Global Report at Tecnológico de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico.
For 27 years, GEM has provided one of the world’s most comprehensive longitudinal datasets on entrepreneurship - enabling comparative research and informing evidence-based policy across diverse economic contexts. Built through sustained collaboration among leading universities, research institutes, and international partners, the Global Report has become a reference point for understanding how entrepreneurial activity and ecosystem conditions evolve over time.
As economies continue to navigate shifting technological, financial, and institutional landscapes, rigorous and comparable data remains essential. The 2025/2026 Global Report will provide new evidence to inform research, guide policy design, and strengthen decision-making worldwide.
The 2025/2026 Global Evidence Base
The 2025/2026 cycle includes data from 53 participating economies, representing approximately 43% of the global population and 57% of global GDP in 2025, based on World Bank data.
The 2025/2026 report draws on:
-
160,000+ Respondents to our Adult Population Survey (APS).
-
2,000+ National Experts via the National Expert Survey (NES).
Since its inception, GEM has built a database of more than 2 million interviews, enabling robust longitudinal analysis of entrepreneurial trends over nearly three decades.
Looking Ahead to 26 February
GEM 2025/2026 Global Report will provide updated data and analysis on entrepreneurship across participating economies, contributing new insights to support academic research, policy formulation, and ecosystem development.
The full report will be released on 26 February 2026. We invite the global research and policy community to engage with the findings and explore their implications.
