Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) is celebrating its 25-year anniversary. The first GEM report was published back in 1999, featuring 10 pioneering teams: GEM Canada, GEM Denmark, GEM Finland, GEM France, GEM Germany, GEM Japan, GEM Israel, GEM Italy, GEM United Kingdom and GEM United States.
Since then, data has been collected from 120 economies across five continents. The project is testament that long-term research can flourish through international cooperation. This achievement would not be possible without the commitment of GEM National Teams and their respective sponsors. During the GEM Report Launch event in Morocco, 25 awards were presented to different GEM National Teams for their remarkable achievements.
